Terms & Conditions

The free, no-risk promotion through the beta-test site is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Online promotion is at the sole discretion of The Stage Newspaper Limited (publisher of booktheact.com) who reserve the right to reject submissions should they not meet the site’s standards or exceed the number of free promotional slots available
  2. All acts will be offered the GOLD PROMO PACKAGE (six photos, up to six sound and/or video files, plus indexing in up to five searchable categories) free of charge for the duration of the test
  3. Acts must be established, well rehearsed UK-based professionals with sufficient digital marketing media (photographs, graphic images, sound and/or video samples) to adequately showcase online their performing ability and, where possible, audience response
  4. Acts or their agent must register all the required profile information accurately and upload the minimum digital media specified (see table below) to booktheact.com technical standards
  5. The publisher may withdraw or terminate the period of free promotion at any time of its choosing without notification
  6. All material submitted for publication online will be moderated and the publisher reserves the right to modify or omit part or all of submissions where it is deemed necessary

Notes: please ensure all media files are free of copy protection

* Photos and graphics should be digital originals (ie, not scanned) avoiding the use of overlaid text; more than six photo files can be uploaded from which six must be selected to go ‘live’ onsite at any one time

+ Minimums specified may be relaxed, on request, and at the discretion of the publishers, for certain types of act
